چکیده
We develop a theory of the spin battery effect in superconductor/ferromagnetic insulator (SC/FI) systems taking into account magnetic proximity effect. demonstrate that spin-energy mixing enabled by superconductivity leads to enhancement accumulation several orders magnitude relative normal state. This finding can explain recently observed giant inverse Hall generated thermal magnons SC/FI system. suggest nonlocal electrical detection scheme which directly probe driven magnetization dynamics. predict Seebeck converting magnon temperature bias voltage signal. also show how this be used enhance sensitivity even up single-magnon level.

Microwave-driven ferromagnet–topological-insulator heterostructures: The prospect for giant spin battery effect and quantized charge pump devices
We study heterostructures where a two-dimensional topological insulator TI is attached to two normalmetal NM electrodes while an island of a ferromagnetic insulator FI with precessing magnetization covers a portion of its lateral edges to induce time-dependent exchange field underneath via the magnetic proximity effect. When the FI island covers both lateral edges, such device pumps pure spin c...
متن کاملStrained silicon-on-insulator for spintronic applications: Giant spin lifetime enhancement
With CMOS feature size rapidly approaching ultimate limits, electron spin is attracting attention as an alternative to the electron charge. Silicon appears to be the perfect material for spin-driven applications. Room-temperature electrical spin injection into Si from a ferromagnetic contact has been successfully demonstrated [1]. Silicon is mostly composed of nuclei with zero spin and characte...
متن کاملGiant viscosity enhancement in a spin-polarized fermi liquid.
The viscosity is measured for a Fermi liquid, a dilute 3He-4He mixture, under extremely high magnetic field/temperature conditions (Bor=1.5 mK). The spin-splitting energy microB is substantially greater than the Fermi energy kBTF; as a consequence the polarization tends to unity and s-wave quasiparticle scattering is suppressed for T<<TF. Using a novel composite vibrating-wire vis...
متن کاملGiant enhancement of spin accumulation and long-distance spin precession in metallic lateral spin valves.
The non-local spin injection in lateral spin valves is strongly expected to be an effective method to generate a pure spin current for potential spintronic application. However, the spin-valve voltage, which determines the magnitude of the spin current flowing into an additional ferromagnetic wire, is typically of the order of 1 μV. Here we show that lateral spin valves with low-resistivity NiF...
متن کاملSpin valve effect across the metal-insulator transition in V2O3
The magnetoresistance of Ni/V2O3/Py devices shows interesting behavior in the temperature dependence across the V2O3 metal-insulator transition. A spin-valve effect ( 0.1%) is found below the transition temperature when V2O3 is in the insulating phase. Contrary to expectation, the spin-valve effect disappears when device is heated above 150 K and V2O3 is in the metallic state. At these temperat...
